The beginning slides may look familiar, but they've been changed to emphasize wavelength instead of "color." By starting with the general utility of color-color plotting, we hope the main ideas will be clear enough that the explicit steps can be understood and executed as the IRSA interface evolves. One file is a Google Slides document with instructions, and the other is a spreadsheet of values for the contrived 60-object set given on one of the slides. The spreadsheet provides rg&b values in hex, decimal, logs & mags along with other derived values to a) simulate the bewildering array of column headings in a real catalog and b) keep the focus on making the plot from data onhand instead of finding a catalog (perhaps the topic of another lesson).
