Ogura, Sugitani & Pickles (2002) are all over this field.  They are referenced as OSP2002 and are the ONLY reference for many of the following objects found in the list: BRC 31 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 19, 20, 22,  24, 25, 27, 28.

OSP2002 (Extracted from Abstract) Bright-rimmed clouds (BRCs) found in H II regions: probably sites of triggered star formation due to compression by ionization/shock fronts. BRCs harbor IRAS point sources of low dust temperature, frequently containing a small cluster of near-IR stars elongated along the axis of the BRC.  Hα was utilized in search of candidate pre-main-sequence stars of the T Tauri; detected a large number (460) of Hα emission stars.  A total of 12 new HH objects found. Most are of small apparent size, emphasizing the need for deep searches at high spatial resolution, but HH 588 associated with BRC 37 represents a huge HH complex composed of two-staged bow shocks on both sides of a tiny central knot. These stars and HH objects are concentrated near the tip of bright rims The presence of such a large number of Hα emission stars in the immediate vicinities of BRCs implies that second-generation formation of low-mass stars is relatively extensive and further supports the notion of cohabitation of high- and low-mass populations in OB associations.

 +
'''IC 5070 -- HII''' (ionized) region  (100 citations involving features in and near the Pelican Nebulae & North American Nebula. There's certainly Spitzer data here!)  Does that mean this area should be tossed also, or can we still work in BRC31?

There has been a great deal of work done on BRC31. Just a sampling of the objects follows: JCMTSF Cloud (12 references) EM* LkHA 150 -- Emission-line Star (11 references) V* V1531 Cyg -- Variable Star of Orion Type (4 references) IC 5070 -- HII (ionized) region 100 citations! (More than 100 between 2000-2010)

IC 5070 -- HII (ionized) region (100 citations involving features in and near the Pelican Nebulae & North American Nebula. There's certainly Spitzer data here!) Does that mean this area should be tossed also, or can we still work in BRC31?
