Ms. Barge

I love Astronomy and Earth Science and I am lucky enough to teach these two subjects at Walter Payton high school in Chicago.

I am very excited to be part of this research team. I think of the world in images so it always helps me to see pictures of the part of the sky we are studying.

This image is the IC1396, a huge nebula in the constellation Cepheus, in the northern sky.
It shows the location of BRC 34 & 38. This is a closeup of BRC 38. I read a lot about this BRC, so I feel a special connection to it!!
It is located near the constellations of the winter circle, in the southern sky.

This image is the Seagull Nebula, where BRC 27 is located. BRC 27 is located on the bottom right of the picture, where it looks like a bite is taken out of the yellow cloud. A C-shaped bright rim.
